KURZE BIO
Tropica ist eine Neo-Psychedelic-Pop Band aus Köln und Wuppertal. Vintage Sound und eine verträumte Atmosphäre werden mit modernen Pop- Strukturen fusioniert. Die Band hat von 2018 bis heute zahlreiche Shows gespielt und eine überzeugende erste Platte mit dem Titel “On A Rainbow”(2019) produziert und veröffentlicht. Der Release wurde vom Berliner Label Listen Records promotet und die Songs fanden unter anderem Anklang bei Byte FM, Nothing But Hope And Passion & The Mellow Music. Mit den Singles “You can’t escape the future”(2022), “Thunderous”(2022) meldete sich Tropica nach der Corona-Pause furios zurück. Darauf folgten die beiden Singles “Baklava”(2022) und “Deva”(2022), welche die musikalische Vielfalt der Band noch einmal unterstreichen. Momentan arbeitet die Band an ihrem ersten Studioalbum, welches zusammen mit Birk Buttchereyt im Funkhaus Studio Berlin aufgenommen wurde.
SHORT BIO
Tropica is a Neo-Psychedelic-Pop Band from Cologne and Wuppertal, Germany. Their music combines vintage sounds and dreamy atmospheres , merged with modern Pop- Structures. The Band played various Shows from 2018 until today and recorded, produced and released a convincing first Record called “On A Rainbow”. The release has been promoted in collaboration with the Berlin Label “Listen Records” and found approval from Radio and Press, such as: Byte.fm, Nothing But Hope And Passion & The Mellow Music. The songs also found resonance with various playlists, amongst them the spotify-curated “Fresh Finds GSA”. In the post- corona period, Tropica’s energetic return was introduced with the release of four versatile singles, marking their largest return in listens and exposure. At this moment in time, the Band has finished the recordings for their first Album in cooperation with the emerging, berlin- based producer, Birk Buttchereyt. Recorded in Funkhaus Berlin, the Album “Is This The Only Life I Know”, marks Tropica’s most elaborated creation and is soon to be released.
